Ethnicraft is the Belgian furniture maker that has spent three decades proving solid wood still belongs at the center of the modern home. Founded in 1995 by two friends from Antwerp — Benoit Loos and Philippe Delaisse — after a trip to Indonesia convinced them that solid wood, worked by skilled hands, could carry a warmth and permanence flat-pack furniture never would. Thirty years later, the premise hasn't shifted. When Ethnicraft says "solid wood," they mean it literally: every oak table, walnut shelf, and teak outdoor piece is made from planks of real hardwood that looks better with age, not worse.
